My goal is Symantec Endpoint Small Business as their replacement. Our Security Operations Center (SOC) works for you 24x7 attackers never sleep and neither do we if we call you at 3 AM, we’ll have an action plan, not just a ticket. In the meantime, I am working on getting the customer to get a current product from Symantec, but it may take a week or so to get approval on the purchase. Does anyone have any insight into where the actual definitions are being updated, as in I could check in the registry to determine this? Now, when live update (or the intelligent updater download from the SARC site), it appears that the defs download, but the virus definitions date is blank. Apparently, a long time ago when that product reached end of life/end of support, the customer didn't get the notification on it, and was still able to get viable antivirus definitions until about a week ago. I have a customer who is somehow still running Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition version 7.60.926.
